Bowling Blackburn: Boutique Ten Pin Lanes at The Flower Bowl

Looking for bowling near Blackburn that doesn’t feel like every other bowling alley? The Flower Bowl sits in Brock, just outside Garstang, and it’s built around something different: six lanes, not twenty-four, in a setup called The Copper Bowl.

Book Monday to Thursday and you get two games for the price of one. Social seating, a full bar, and a genuinely different night out than the retail park chain you’re used to.

Tired of the Same Bowling Alley Every Time?

You know the drill. Scuffed lanes, sticky seats, a bar that’s out of half of what’s on the menu.

Show up on a Saturday night at the usual big chain bowling alley and you’re queuing for a lane while a kids’ party gets rushed through in twenty minutes flat. Once the game’s over, there’s nothing left to do but go home.

Six Lanes, a Bar, and a Lot More Than Bowling

The Copper Bowl has six lanes of ten-pin bowling, built for groups who want to talk between frames, with social seating and bar service throughout. Planning something bigger? The Copper Lounge handles private lane hire, so you can book a bowling birthday party for the afternoon.

Bowling’s only the start. There’s a crazy golf course, an ice curling experience, cue golf, shuffleboard, golf simulators, a VR ride, Fingagolf and three cinema screens, all under the same roof.

Get hungry, and there’s Blooms Restaurant, The Ocean fish and chip restaurant and Barbossa bar, so the night doesn’t end when the last frame does.

Pricing And What To Expect On The Day

A game costs £12 for adults, £10 for seniors (65+) and £10 for under-18s. Book Monday to Thursday for two games for the price of one. Lanes take up to 6 players, with larger groups split automatically across two, and under-18s need a supervising adult aged 21 or over. Bowling shoes are provided, so there’s no need to bring your own.

Payment is by card only (gift cards welcome). The Flower Bowl opens 9:30am to 10:30pm Sunday to Thursday, and 9:30am to 10:45pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Worth the Drive from Blackburn

Brock, near Garstang, sits about 20 miles from Blackburn, roughly 30 to 35 minutes by car, for a night out that’s more than just bowling. Six lanes beat a 24-lane arcade hall for actually enjoying yourself: no queuing behind a stag do, no shouting over three other groups.

The Flower Bowl is a full entertainment centre, not a bowling alley with extras bolted on. Ice curling, cue golf and three luxury cinema screens sit under the same roof, so one trip covers the evening. Stay for dinner at Blooms restaurant or The Ocean fish and chip restaurant, and the 2for1 games Monday to Thursday means the drive pays for itself.
